[Misc] GR colour drum - ink not coming through all over

    Hi

I've just got a green and a brown colour drum for my gr3770, second hand from a local company. I've tested both, and neither are working perfectly. Both suffer from patches where the ink isn't coming through properly, it's quite bad on the brown drum. I've tried running a large volume of sheets through but the problem remains.

Is this something that will get better with use, or is it a dead drum?

    Thanks

If these weren't used frequently, the ink will start to gel on the screen- simply remove the master off of the drum, and apply a rag soaked in citrus solvent onto the screen- you don't need to scrub it, just let the solvent work on the gelled ink. This should bring them right back.

Glad to hear it worked for you-we have noticed this issue appearing frequently due to the soy-based ink. A quick wash-down before any print job will keep your prints nice and dark, especially if the drum has been sitting idle for long periods.
