If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

On the 390/590s, if you power-cycle the riso and hear a semi-loud BANG that isn't part of it's normal bang-clang noises, but it works just fine, and doesn't make the noise again until it's turned off and back on again, check this gear. It's most likely cracked and about to destroy itself in the near future.
No idea, but it's very common. We had 6 used Riso's in the office of which three were already broke, two already taken, and one left for me to scavenge. =^..^=

The gear seems to be an engineered weak point to prevent damage to other parts in the master making unit. It's like a 80 cent part.
it is the machine design error
only one screw one one side ,this gear turn back and forth to overcome the spring load at end via cam,
i have this case one year ago , find part ,,,
i found the part from used copy machine fuser konic c 352 with same dia and same teeth.but needed to drill two hole on gear i modify , used two screw one on each side with spring washer, you need a washer to adjust gear position
Anyone have instructions on the easiest way to replace that gear?
