    Wrong cartridge type

I have a GR3770 and was running a print job. I stopped and was going to start another job and suddenly was told that I and the wrong type toner cartridge. I tried a couple of other tubes and same thing . Any idea what could have changed. I took the drum apart and everything looked ok. Maybe the drum pcb went south?

One way to fix this would be to turn the machine power switch on while holding down the no key and panel reset key and change the toner cartridge

On a machine this old, you might need to purchase all new ink. If the ink you tried is several years old, the ink bottles have probably expanded to the point that they can't be inserted far enough to properly engage the ink type detection switches in the drum.
(If that's the case, just be glad that the ink bottle didn't expand while it was installed in the drum, that is awful, like changing an over tightened oil filter on a car, although getting an expanded ink bottle out of a drum can be more colorful, I guess.)
