RISO GR series vs. RISO RP series

    Hello,

what kind of RISO printers produces the best printing quality?

I know the rp serie is the newer one..

Is there a difference between the GR 3750 (400dpi), the GR 3770 (600dpi) and the RP 3700 (600dpi) model?
Which Printer produces the best results in printing quality?

Re: RISO GR series vs. RISO RP series

If you can help it, neither. Both GR & RP are obsolete, parts are hard to find.
OK, with that in mind GR 3770 & RP 3700 copy quality are about the same. RP is nicer because may come with network card, and as long as your pc is running XP you can get drivers for it.
    Good luck.

Re: RISO GR series vs. RISO RP series

    Hello,

    thanks for the replys!
What is the Difference between the RZ 370 (300x600dpi) and the RZ 570 (600x600dpi) resolution?

I'm confused about the many different values.

Is the RZ 370 (300x600dpi) resolution inferior to the resolution of the GR 3770 (600x600) and RP 370 (600x600dpi) models?
Is only the RZ 5 and 9 Series (600x600dpi) similiar to the GR 3770 and the RP 3700 resolution?

    Thanks for any suggestion!

Re: RISO GR series vs. RISO RP series

RZ3 and RZ5 are both D600dpi, which is digitally enhanced 300x600 to be like 600x600.
The GR3770, RP3700, & RZ990 are true 600dpi machines using HD (high defintion) ink.
If your are considering RZ and want great copy quality go RZ990 or the newer RZ1090.
If you want to spend less, your are going to get less, but RZ 590 or EZ 590 or newest 591 are good duplicators with lots of features.
If you drop down to the 390 or 391 copy quality is the same, but less features on the machine.
    Hope this helps. Good luck.

Re: RISO GR series vs. RISO RP series

    hey jermyth,

thanks, that helps me a lot!

    Now I got it.

    Another Question:
I have the chance to buy a GR 3770 without interface.
Is it possible to connect this GR 3770 to a computer with an interface like for example SC 7900? Or needs the GR additional a chip to connect or something like this?
