    RISO RP3700 low density

    hi to all

    i have a problem with RISO RP3700 , when i start copying , after 9 or 10 papers it gets lighter and lighter ,

    - i checked and cleaned the Thermal head
    - i've cleaned the scanner section
    - i've changed the INK


    but no result

    Can anyone explain!

    I would suspect either a loss of pressure or something slipping in the inking roller drive.

    I don't know the exact model you are working on but I've worked on older Risos and currently work on Savin duplicators so its all pretty much the same technology taking place. If the first few copies look ok then it has nothing to do with scanning or master making. Not enough pressure from the press roller can cause light copies as can an internal drum problem such as an inking roller not turning or an ink pump not doing its job.
