Thread: Ink suppliers?

  1. #1

    Ink suppliers?

I've searched the forum for ink suppliers and there isn't to much info. I was hoping we could put together a list of places that offer custom inks or non-standard inks (Neons, etc.).

I use gmsupplies.com, they are very good but only offer the standard inks (For my machine(s) atleast - GR, RC)
Ebay has some options too but the date of production worries me.

Anyone have a good resource they could share?

    Thumbs up Re: Ink suppliers?

Why not patronize the advertisers and links on this site? There are plenty of ads for ink and supplies.

A forum is a resource, a digital community, built to support and further develop a specific topic.
Strengthening this resource is in the best interest of the community, especially in an increasingly obsolete
genre like Risographs. But I'm sure you know that as you offer manuals for them no?

Since you took the time to troll my post, please take the time to point out exactly which distributor
is relevant to my specific question - surely not one of the 10 service manual links? (Helpful when I needed a manual,).

Moving on, can anyone help out?

    Re: Ink suppliers?

    Keywords I've used:
    -ink
    -ink suppliers
    -aftermarket ink
    -buying ink
    -fluorescent

    I've tried:
    inkfarm.com (Completely off)

    Three places I've checked:
    http://acpsupplies.com/
    http://gmsupplies.com
    www.sdmc.com/

Thought I was onto something with this thread, no info:
    http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...ftermarket+ink

And then this one that went unanswered:
    http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...ht=fluorescent

Then there was this one that recommended ebay (I listed my concerns with that in my original post):
    http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...ht=fluorescent

I've seen different types of ink used and can't seem to find a supplier - I didn't think there was anything abrasive about the question, I was just hoping to get some help after spending a week searching. Can't someone just help?

That would be my guess - with FF and ABP, I don't see ads at all.

Me neither so a list would be fine :-)

    Also with some experiences maybe?

I have a "black drum too many" for my RN 2500 now and I am thinking about to refill old black (cleaned) cartridges with "my own color". Can I theoretically use every Silkscreen color with this old printer?
I am thinking about neongreen, silver or maybe white, stuff to print on dark papers....

    Re: Ink suppliers?

testing post, my last reply didn't show.

Every time I post a response with a list of research etc. it has to be "approved" and hasn't. I've done a ton of research, checked every sponsor on this site (nothing- aftermarket burgundy from one precision roller for $100). All I want to do is add to a poorly-supported area of the forum. I think everyone would benefit from this.

I'm not being a jerk or wanted someone to do legwork for me, simply asking for forum contribution.

I see all the sponsors - which one has what I asked or is relevant to this forum? None and few.

    Re: Ink suppliers?

I can list the various suppliers I've tried outside of the sponsors of this site but that would be "breaking the rules", I'll go as far to say that major suppliers do not offer any ink alternatives from the standard colors.

By this point I've been called a jerk and accused of wanting other to do work for me - far from the case. I'm asking for help in an area that is very poorly documented on this forum. If this is such obvious knowledge then why has no one been able to provide one distributor?

    Sponsors of the site:
    justmanuals.com - no ink
    buyerzone - nope
    inkinbox.com - nope
    precisionroller.com - offers off-brand burgundy at almost $100.00

...and there is a ton of irrelevant sponsored links.

    Keywords searched.
    1. Color ink
    2. flourescent
    3. ink suppliers
    4. ink supplies
    5. ink supply
    6. colour
    7. alternate colors

Here's a relevant post that went unanswered:
    http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...ht=Fluorescent

And another without a definitive answer :
    http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...=ink+suppliers

And then this individual asking for color #'s (which I think would be a helpful post):
    http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...ght=colour+ink

Maybe another distributor but not answered:
    http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...=ink+suppliers

Here is a great thread but no answer as to where to get alternate ink:
    http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...r+alternatives
