rp 3700 middle transfer belt issue

On my rp3700 one of my transfer belts seems to be giving me some problems, it's the left middle belt (skinnier ones). Paper isn't being ejected all the way out of the machine and I found if i wiggle the belt a bit with my finger when it starts running, before the paper comes through, it will eject perfectly for a while and then the paper will start spinning towards the left as it exits until it stops fully exiting again. I think the belt in question is either loose or stretched. I was wondering if there is possibly some way to adjust the tension on the belts before I order a replacement.

Have you taken the exit unit out and inspected it? I don't think the belts are adjustable but they usually are held with another set of rollers on the underside and very rarely on some odd machine one of the brass bushings will seize up with gunk or cut through the metal pin somehow. That being said the belts are rubber and can stretch too so they can become loose.

I haven't seen an adjustment for exit belt tension on the RP line. But you have to pull out the whole exit assembly to replace the belt anyhow so nothing ventured nothing gained.

    Good luck.

Thanks for the input. I didn't see anything in the tech manual about adjustments, but figured I could have missed something. I guess I'll go ahead and order the replacements, couldn't hurt to have them around either way. I will poke around the exit unit once I have them to see if anything is amiss.
