Riso rz990 with error code after parts replacement
RZ990 had damaged elevation assembly, including elevation racks, bearings, rear elevation plate and ribbon cable. Had 24V a t98 24v error code. Changed fuse and error eliminated. Replace parts for elevtion assembly and now have T98-129 . manual states "defective scanner gate array PCB(memory check error on the gate array". My immediate thought was when I was disassembling + replacing parts that I did something to cause this error.
I noticed at the end of call today that there were some wires in harness at rear of machine above PCB swing unit. Perhaps when opening and closing this unit it pulled wires already spliced and have electricians tape about 4 wires I saw so far and 2 came apart easily. Don't know if this is causing the code and have to return tomorrow with soldering iron and some wiring.
Customer owes me for 3 hours pus parts and I would like to resolve this tomorrow morning. Any help is very much appreciated as there is no guarantee that reconnecting these wires will get rid of error code. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

Returned next day and reconnected wires and soldered and taped. Machine went into ready and ran envelope job successfully. Frank
