We have a Sharp AR M350N on top of one of the biggest mountains in WV. :) The machine, mechanically, is fine. We have been having issues with the machine going into logic loops, or rotating starts, before the machine starts to warm up. Sometimes when the customer uplugs it for a while..... it will come back on. We've changed basicly all the boards, checked voltages, brought it back to our shop for 2 1/2 months with no problem.....we've kinda ran outta ideas....ANYBODY SEEN THIS BEFORE??????????

Do not have the network print controller ARP20 or 21(?) installed on this machine. Just the standard controller that comes with the U version. Has a parallel and USB port on the back but when I attempt to connect to these ports they do not show up on my computer running XP. Is there something I am missing or do I have to have the ARP20/21 controller installed to print. And if that is the case how do I update the ROMs on a U version? (I hope you are not going to say the old ARM350 way)!!!!!

Thank you in advance for any information on this subject!

I normally avoid this problem by setting the IP address to a static number.

When I setup for print with DHCP the unit obtains the address and setup is prompt with no issues. A period of time will go by and we get a call that they can't print. DHCP has changed the imagers settings to a new number. Setting it back solves the issue. Is there some setting that needs to be changed on Sharps to prevent this from happening? All network settings are Sharp default out of the factory.

Thank you very much for your time and effort in this matter. It has been an annoying matter for Sharps. Don't know if it is for other copiers or not but would like some input if you have it.
in sensor check TFSD is high. i removed the sensor from its housing leaving it connected but hanging down so it would not detect toner in the hopper. the sensor was still high.

i have to go with the sensor but could do with some second opinions

I just wanted to share some helpful information if anyone has had this problem out there. Tray 1 was lagging/slow feeding and jamming. All other trays fed correctly. I tried new feed tires, cleaned the shafts, oiled bearings.....and the machine only had 105,000 pages on it. When i went into the simulation to test the clutches they tested fine also.
So I ended up replacing the main drive unit and it fixed the problem. I'm assuming the paper feed clutch was on the verge of going bad. I just thought i'd share some information.:D:D
