Brother MFC 9840 Print Unable 5A

I checked the connection between the engine PWB and the charge PWB. It started working again for a minute, then it went back to the error.
Can anyone shed any light on this. Thanks so much for any help

I don't work on those, but for what it is worth I'll take a shot at this.
If the machine worked for a little while after I checked the connections but then stopped working, I'd take a look at the wiring harnesses for those connectors. Just to see if I'd routed them incorrectly and they were putting undue stress on the connectors, or maybe I has routed one over the frame of the machine and it got pinched when I put the back cover on (two things that I've actually done by mistake).
If it turned out that I hadn't goofed up, I would suspect the high voltage board, although I'd check the connections to the part of the machine that contains the drum first, a bad connection there causes high voltage errors on the machines I do work on.
Well, hope there's something here you can use. And if not, sorry for wasting your time.

Thankyou so much for your feedback. When it was working it was throwing charge wire errors. I have actually been working on this , this evening. If the drum connections look good I think I am going to order and change the HVPS. Everything else looks good. (I even did a continuity check on the wire strip from the engine board to the HVPS). Thank you so much...
