Does KM-8030 / DF-650 have any salvage value?

I have a KM-8030 with a DF-650 that shows JAM 41. It is no longer needed and in the way so it's time for it to go. Does it have any salvage value or should i let my son rob the stepper motors and send it to the landfill? Are there any components worth pulling and listing on ebay? Any advice would be appreciated.

Misfeeds (Jam J40, J41, J42, J43) entering the fuser. Gear noise intermittently. Fuser drive coupler sticks, rusty. Clean & grease the fuser drive coupler.

Misfeeds (Jam J40, J41, J42, J43, J44) entering the fuser. Gear noise intermittently. Gear 88 & the fuser drive motor pinion gear are worn (~440K to 950K). Replace gear 88T (302FB22960) & fuser motor (302FB27231), or the fusing drive assy (302FB93134). Clean the duplex PWB of steel shavings with compressed air and a soft brush.

Misfeeds (Jam J41). Transfer belt drive coupler is not latched on securely. Secure the little plastic latch on the transfer belt drive coupler with a wire tie.

It has nothing to do with the finisher. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Interesting response cat.

I know people that scrap all the boards and copper. Seems like a big waste of time to me, just get rid of the thing.

I'm conflicted about these machines. They were susceptible to quite a lot of enduser induced jamming. They quite often did the full PM cycle without a hitch. But they are, alas, obsolete.

You won't get much in the way of recycling money. It's not worth breaking it down. =^..^=

Thanks for the responses. I will remind him to be careful of capacitors and then let my 16 y/0 rob the motors and controllers for his high school STEM class. If nothing else, he will gain an appreciation for the folks who build and maintain complicated machines.
