    hp designjet 110 plus

When I load paper into the rear of this machine I hear the first beep and then the machine takes over and rolls the paper in, it won't stop feeding, until it's hanging out of the front about 6-7 inches. I hit the red button and the paper starts back in and then shows me a picture of the roll and a jam indicator on the display. I know about the OOPS sensor and I made sure everything was plugged in. What sees the leading edge of the roll? Is it the paper feed encoder on the left end of the machine or is it that OOPS sensor, or something else? Can the encoder be out of time?? I was called on this machine after the customer bought the machine with a broken svc station then bought one and installed it himself.

It should feed it out a few inches (6 or 7 sounds right), pause, and then eventually pull it back in. Why are you pressing the red button?

Just saw this. There's your problem. Look for the paper edge sensor somewhere. Customer must have unplugged it or jammed up the flag somewhere.

That was part of my Question What sees the leading edge the carrier never looks at the edge of the paper like the bigger machines I'm thinking it's the OOPS sensor but I can't be positive
