I have an old HP Office Jet 6500A with 17,000 copies sitting in my workshop.
It has an "Ink system has failed error 0xC19a0022 on the display".
I've carefully cleaned the cradle print head contact pad and the print head contacts, it still gives me the same Ink error code.
The ink cartridges are 1/2 full and appear to be OEM.
I've contact HP tech support an they instructed me to do a user full-reset which didn't work. They informed me to buy a new print head, with the instructions that it may still not work even if I replace the print head.

The encoder strip has border line scratches on it an should probably be replaced.

Before I place this machine in the rubbish bin. Is it worth executing the "firmware REFLASH" in service mode ?

Any info appreciated....
