    I clean the pad off then take the metal (the part that had the pad on it) and bend it slightly so that the plate and the magnet don't come in contact with each other. I've been doing it this way for years and have never had to come back to one.

    What do you guys do with sticky solenoids?

    Electric tape is the let me get the %#^& out of here fix. The problem can be that people are picky and every time it energizes it will make a fairly loud clicking noise . So...Some kind of pad is necessary.
