If you put the suspect part in another printer, and got the same error, then that part is defective. It's as simple as that.

Sorry, I should have read back to refresh my memory on this. I know you can't take the hard drive from one printer and put it in another (or so the manual says,) so I would keep the formatter with the test printer, but swap the EE box. I thought it was the main PCA/EE box we were trying to rule out. I don't think the issue would be with the formatter.
So in other words, swap the EE box, but use the same formatter in the other printer.
I'll check and see if there's anything else about this I can find.

If you get the 22.1:10 error again, then it's certain the EE box is bad.
If you don't get the 22.1:10 error and the printer works correctly.. then try the working printer's EE box in the suspect printer.
If you get some other error, then I suspect something is not connected correctly.
