Lines ONLY on the first page? How about subsequent pages? Using OEM toner?

Re: LJ pro 400 color /mfp475 lines on first page when printing
print a config sheet and a diagnostics sheet, and tell us what you see.
Possibly the color copies have less black in them, and so you aren't seeing the defects as much.

Re: LJ pro 400 color /mfp475 lines on first page when printing
toner is OEM. Customer printed several pages for me twice. Each time the first page had lines that were thicker
the pencil lines but not AS THICK AS CRAYON. I DON'T BELIEVE THEY WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN PAGE. I at this
because I thought I had taken them with me but I don't have them. Also after the first page there may have been
lines but hardly noticeable. The first page was very noticeable. Every time I ran copies there were no lines on any
pages.
I was not in customer's office for this repair. I was servicing a Xerox WC7125 and customer asked me to look at the HP
while there. Frank

Re: LJ pro 400 color /mfp475 lines on first page when printing
I've seen something similar on Dell C3760's (Phaser 6600). Smudges or lines on the first page, but, after that, it's sporadic. That's the belt. Could be same?

If it is belt wouldn't it also occur on copies? That is what confuses me

If you get back there, remember those samples.
