    Question 4345MFP email issue.

    I have a customer with several 4345mfp and M4345mfp machines. The 4345, when you press the email button, it will show "connecting" few 3-10 seconds, it varies. once the screen goes to the email page, everything works fine. The M4345's will go straight in with no problem. Has anyone seen this, and what was the fix? I've try Cold Reset and even hard drive init. Thank you in advance!

    Do all the machines use Static IP address or DHCP IP allocation ?

    1.) I'm first leaning toward a DNS access issue maybe due to network bottle neck.
    Try swapping DNS-1 [IP] with DNS-2 [IP] and see if that makes any difference to email server access speed.

    2.) Is the customer a business/Gov't using globalscan or Equitrax software/harware interfacing ? I've seen GS/EQT software server access slow down to minutes when accessing the server. Server access problems can only be resolved by in their own I.T.

    Thanks for the reply, the machines are DHCP. It's at a c9llege, but no equitrac or anything like that, using straight smtp.
