    Hp 4345 hard drive type?

We have a client that has an HP 4345 MFP that we need to replace the drive on . Can we use any 20 or 40 GB drive or does it have to be the Toshiba drive ?

Re: Hp 4345 hard drive type?

I have successfully used normal commodity hard drives in the 4345.

Be sure you get the right interface, though. The 4345 is PATA (Parallel ATA) while the M4345 is SATA (Serial ATA). There may have been some crossover, so you might want to see what's in it first.

And the mounting brackets always break.
