    HP 4250 envelope feeder

Can the HP 4200 series (Q2438B) envelope feeders be rebuilt with new rollers, etc? I could not find a parts book or much information on these. See at least 2 rollers that are worn. Have 3 of them that need at least these 2 rollers. I see complete units being sold as "rebuilt" so it would seem parts would be available?

    Thanks in advance

No. I've never found a place to purchase parts (OEM or aftermarket) for envelope feeders.

These places that "rebuild" envelope feeders get them in, inspect them, clean them all up and resell them.

Thanks Lance, I was thinking the same thing about these "rebuilds" just being cleaned. Although I wouldn't be surprised if China "copied" and is selling aftermarket rollers.

the way I understand it is.... MAJOR partners can buy the parts and rebuild them. I deal with Liberty Parts and the seem to get parts to rebuild accessories but do not sell those parts.

Huh....interesting. I like to fix major components if I can get my hands on replacement parts. Some of the things (short list) I've rebuilt:

    Fusers
Pickup Assemblies (mainly the 46xx tray 2's. Would like to start rebuilding the 42xx & P4xxx tray 1's)
    Formatters (baking)
Monitors. (Replacing caps. I'm in the middle of a CCFL to LED conversion)

    UPDATE

Well I found out how these feeders are sold "rebuilt". You use parts from the LJ600/M601, etc envelope feeder (CE399A) Maybe some parts are different but I ordered the feed & sep rollers and they are the same.

Hope this helps others avoid what I went through trying to find parts for these feeders.
