colors prints half page LJ CP 5225

Hi all,
I have an LJ CP 5225 printer that prints color items only on te half of page. The black of the same page, are correct. When doing an interrupted print, the image appears clearly on the blak drum and the black magnetic roller. But on the three colors ( C, M ans Y), the image appears on the magnetic roller but not on the drums.
An idea please!

Are HP toner cartridges being used or aftermarket?

Looks like it could be a belt issue.

I agree with Lance15, it does look like an ETB problem.
Also, thanks for letting us know that your scanner isn't the best, otherwise I would have included that the machine's toner cartridges were worn out, as the black bar on the image you shared really doesn't look good.
If the arrows on the image you shared show the direction of print paper travel through the machine, please ignore my next sentence, as it is wrong.
It could be a problem in the laser area, maybe with the polygon mirrors being contaminated.

The arrows are showing print direction. I do print with up cover open, and i saw that the belt running well.

The belt rotating is immaterial. The belt has 4 charge rollers underneath (one for each color). If they aren't "working right", there will be image defects.

I had this problem with a machine, and never did quite figure it out. It was almost exactly the same as your... except different lengths where the colors disappeared. I had replaced the transfer belt and it didn't change anything. Although, I didn't check the mag rollers in the stop test... just the drums. It's really strange to me that the mag roller can show the image and the drum not. The only reason there would be an inverse image on the mag roller, is if that toner had gotten on to the drum. I can't think of ANY other way for the image to appear on the mag roller.

Anyway, someone had sent me some PDF's with some descriptions of certain plastic bushing that are wearing on these machines causing this problem. I'll see if I can find them and post them. I had dropped that call because I already had a ton of time into it, and it was pretty far away from my home base. The description of the possible fix is a pretty big job, and I don't know for certain that it would work, so I didn't want to step in anything so big.
