    HP laserjet 600 m602 (13.A2.D2)

i have the above machine jamming from tray 2 only. half of the page is out of the exit unit with no image on the document.
tray 2 pickup, feed and seperation rollers have been replaced.
    tray is set to A4.
swapped tray 2 with tray 3 and still the same.
    cleaned the reg sensor.
    tray 3 prints perfectly fine.
small white gear between pickup and feed roller looks good with no damage.

    any ideas?

Try checking the paper pickup solenoid, sometimes they get sticky and cause the paper to stop halfway through.

    Good Luck!

There is an adhesive damping strip on the solenoid arm applied at the factory that sometimes turns to goo and causes the arm to momentarily stick, common on many, many HP printers
When I started servicing copiers they used toaster ovens for fusers.....I'm old

Not likely on the M600 series......yet.

Had exact issue a couple of months ago. It turned out a flag on the paper feed shaft broke off and wasn't "telling the sensor" the correct state.

    RM1-8424 - Paper Feed Shaft

I had pictures, but, they've long since been deleted.

By 'paper feed shaft', do you mean the shaft with the feed roller on it, or something else?

Why not yet, I have seen it happening on the 4014/15 series a number of times, same age printers

The 4015 is the older version of M600

M600 have been out there for over 5 years, 4014 a little longer. All i'm saying is to check the adhesive strip on the arm, not saying it is the definitive cause
