HP 2420dn
Hello fellows,
I have an HP Laserjet 2420dn, I replaced the formatter and now it thinks that it is an 2410, has anybody ran into this sort of issue.
Please any comments will help!!
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

the part numbers for the formatter are the same for all 24xx series printers. However if you put a used formatter from a lower series machine (ie 2410) it confuses the dc controller and the dc controller cant write to the new formatter. the printer then acts and becomes a 2410. As far as I know there is no way to return the printer to 2420, unless there is a hp secret PJL file to upload to it to change it back.

Thank you for your reply.
We just found out that there is a company out of washington that will format both the boards for a small fee.
Thanx
