C4795 Inkjet, loud clicking
On power up, does its startup cycle ok, but will make some terrible gear clicking / grinding noises near the end...otherwise will print ok.
Took it apart and saw the cleaning / purge area was kinda a mess with black ink. There is a small transport that slides up and down
I guess to rub the ink off the heads on purge cycle which I cleaned up a bit.
After that, tried a new power up start and no more clicking.
Thought that did it but it came back, so went back and slid that purge carriage out so that its in a different starting position again,
and the problem went away.
Could there be something broke that is suppose to hold that carriage in the right position, or maybe a sensor somewhere in there covered w ink
fooling the sequence?

Re: C4795 Inkjet, loud clicking
Looks like I got this one cured.
The sliding purge carriage definitely was the issue.
Turns out if u turn the machine upside down, there is a lever on the outside
which runs on a groove inside that carriage.
I removed it and reseated it in the grove and put some lube in there as a precaution
in case some ink was making it stick.
So far no more noises. Could be the end user had this on an uneven surface, tried to use it and that
lever slipped off the track.

Update -
Well spoke too soon. Clicking is gone but wont print. Now found a piece of plastic, like
part of the carriage frame on the purge carriage. Took it out and still wont print
so am guessing this was part of a mechanical function thats no longer able to happen with this
broken off.
