Hp 2550l customer says they only changed the yellow cartridge and now it is faded on the right side of the prints. Tryed to change yellow cart. From another printer i have in the shop but machine will not accept it ( i guess the chip and the page count thing) i had this same problem with a canon ic mf 8170 few weeks ago with mag. Cart. (they are almost the same machine) never did figure it out the only feed back i really got on the canon was that it was a problem child with lots of issues. Like the name says i'm a copier lady! Any ideas?
yellow is probably going to be worse. First blow out laser scanner lens openings.
1. perform carousel alignment (easy) - check if cartridge arrows line up with arrows on printer.
2. Replace carousel bushing
3. replace carousel asm (lots of time required probably wont be worth it)
Thanks guys the color tip helped when i looked closer i saw that the only thing realy missing on the print was black. When i checked the cart. It was bound up. Just a coincidence that it was at the same time they changed the yellow. (something the customer will never believe!) but there is also a yellow mess inside i have to clean up. Is there anything i need to know?
