    Designjet Ink

Does anyone know how easily designjet ink freezes?

I have a couple of 800's in my garage, which isn't heated. I wonder if I should take out the ink tubes and bring them inside before the really cold weather hits.

I guess I could find out by throwing an ink cartridge into the freezer and see what happens... but then my freezer probably doesn't get as cold as it's liable to get outside. The coldest it gets around here is about 0. It rarely goes below that.

I'd err on the side of caution and bring the tube assemblies inside.

The print head can dry up in as little as 3 weeks if you don't use it. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

These are machines to be refurbed. The printheads are long gone. But I don't like putting money into one of them until I have a good sales lead--precisely for that reason. If I rebuild it, I have to use it.... like the Z2100 in my basement.
