This is an Ink Jet printer so I have no Idea now what is full a duplex unit shouldn't have to be replaced

Life of ink collection unit (duplex module) is 115K
Is there a reset procedure when you replace it? I just was talking to a guy who installed a new one and never got rid of the duplex unit full message.
