HP Designjet 820 MFP scanner Lamp reset

Hi All

Can anyone confirm how to reset the scanner lamp?

I have the message to replace the lamp which is straight forward but unsure how to reset the lamp counter.....

The new lamp doesn't seem to have a reset chip or anything.....

The PDF shows what looks like a window in Windows XP....do I have to access the Windows XP side to run Scantest 6? If so how do you access the Windows side as I believe these run on XP embedded software?

To access the software you must go to the Setup tab and to: Options, System, Service (this part is password protected, the password is ’support',) Scantest.

The scanner should be on for an hour before calibrating it. You can reset the counter without waiting an hour.

Can you? Whenever I tried resetting it after replacing the lamp, it always told me I couldn't. I show the customer how to reset after the hour.
