HP M557 page count vs engine cycles

Hello I dont work on many printers,mainly copiers. On the configuration report page it shows engine and color engine cycles but no page count. I read where engine cycles are for troubleshooting and not used for billing purposes. This printer is under a service contract so what counter should be used for billing service? Also where do you find it? The older units have page counts on the config page. thanks for any help.
