HP clj CP5225 clicking noise

This problem maybe has something to do with the transfer belt . I took the belt out about a month ago to clean lint from the cleaning blade assembly. It worked for a few weeks and then the customer called for clicking noise and no black print in color print mode. When I took out the black imaging unit, it stops making the noise ,that comes from somewhere in the drive unit. However the printer will print a black only image . Just wonder if anyone has seen something like this. I don't have an extra belt to test with.
