Designjet T2530 - error 86:01 and 86:11

Have a machine giving 86:01 and 86:11 scan axis errors. Have run the tests for the Star wheel and the PRS and both check OK. But when running the Scan Axis it says FAIL with a Paper Jam/Scan Length error. Have replaced the Carriage PCA w/ Line Sensor Cable and still error. Can not see any paper in the machine at all. Am I missing something or any body seen this before. Thanks

Try cleaning the encoder strip. It sounds like it could be dirty.

Yea I cleaned the strip several times, oiled the carrier shaft, made sure the carriage moved freely. Inspected the belt, motor, etc.

Did a Perform an EEROM reset and upgraded the firmware. Still having the same problem.

Then you need to replace the encoder strip.
