Re: HP Designjet T2300 disjointed vertical lines

So this machine has a new belt, carriage, and encoder strip?

And you checked the little spacer on the back of the carriage to make sure it is there?

And you still have the problem with the lines being off???

Yes, belt, carriage, and encoder strip are new. The little spacer is ok. Тhe problem of line shifting remains. Can it be a
    Scan-Axis Motor ?

Did you clean the spindle on the motor that the belt goes around?

It might be a bad motor but I've never once had to replace one.

Make absolutely sure that rear carriage bushing is in place. It's VERY easy to break when installing the carriage.

Re: HP Designjet T2300 disjointed vertical lines

I realized the pictures of the motor I posted are unlike the motor on the T2300; it uses a different thicker belt, but it's still important to make sure the spindle is clean.

I just had a customer with a T2530 complaining of the same issue; disjointed lines when printing CAD drawings. A printhead alignment fixed the problem.

That is something--after replacing the broken carriage, not doing a printhead alignment would probably make things wacky.

Аfter changing the carriage I forgot to align the printhead. Еverything works ОК. Тhanks for the help.

Don't you love it, after a long and difficult job, finally everything works. There's nothing like that feeling.
