Most of the time, when something goes wrong, it's because I left a connector unplugged somewhere.
If this is this an HP CP3525 the fuser is a consumable item no tools needed!?

Fuser drive... not fuser.
But most of the time, you can probably get away with just replacing the solenoid without replacing the whole drive unit. There's a little panel on some of them where you can get the solenoid out and repad it. I don't know about this model. If that's the case, you won't have to take the main drive unit off--which is the suckiest part.
Apologies my bad!
Here's the service manual it may help.

SO FAR SO GOOD.. Disassemble and install new fuser drive. 1 1/2 hours. Have not reassembled yet.
Dude--hopefully, you didn't try to reassemble the next day.
Actually--maybe that's just me. I always have a much harder time reassembling if I don't do it right away. My short-term memory is minuscule. And I'm not even a pot smoker.
i'll be ok. took massive amount of pictures during disassembly
UPDATE : Reassembled machine. Thanks to multiple pictures I took at disassembly, I was able to reassemble in just under 2 hours. Everything went smoothly, although the new fuser drive assembly was a little tricky to put in.
Everything booted up fine until....50.7 fuser error. It looked like the fuser drive gear didnt quite mesh with the drive gear on the fuser. So, I took it all apart again and reinstalled. Still get 50.7. Gears still not meshing unless i push on the fuser real hard. but still get 50.7. I knew my first time for this would be challangeing but REALLY ? Any ideas guys ?
