Replaced drive unit because of a noise issue. Now copies come out very faint,what image there is is mainly along the rear side,uneven. I have taken everything apart many times to try to see anything out of place from when the drive was replaced. The drive was timed properly as per the manual. Kind of at a loss at this point. Any help would be appreciated. I dont work on printers much so not real familiar with this machine.
sounds like a grounding issue, make sure the transfer roller is in properly. should be grounding on one end spring ---copper piece something. Stop the page half way check the toner cartridge if it prints good there it's the transfer. if not you lost a ground somewhere doing the drive unit GOOD LUCK

Make sure the HV boards contacts line up with the springs.
Thanks for the replies. It makes sense it has to be something from when being taken apart. I have taken it back apart a few more times looking for what may have happened. All the spring contacts look good-touching. Here is some sample prints. What is on the page looks good. Almost looks like transfer problem.
I would definitely say that's transfer related.

Also, make 100% sure a connector didn't hide behind the DC Controller when you were putting things back together.
Well we fixed the customer but not the printer. We got another printer for parts and changed all the parts that had anything to do with changing the drive unit and still no luck. So we put the second machine back together,cleaned it up ect and brought that one back to the customer.
