HP M479fdw torn mylar film on slit glass

I got a call on my first HP m479 for the adf jamming. The mylar film over the slit glass is torn. I got a service\parts manual but it only shows the ADF and scanner as a unit. Is that part available separately? If not what can be used in it's place?

I don't believe HP ever made these, but you can find 3rd party aftermarket ones, that work just fine.

You could make it by cutting a sheet of transparent plastic to size, paying attention to the thickness

I just had the same issue and ordered the aftermarket film. It came with adhesive strips on film and worked great! Over priced at $30 for 2 films but no other options unless you make them yourself.
