    HP 4000/QUALITY

    HI,
Are there any adjustments I can make for increased density? The bold print is OK,but the finer lines tend to fade. The tranfer roller is relatively new and cartridge really didnt help.
    Thankds, Andy

I would bet money that you have dust on the laser lens. Take the top off and clean the laser mirrors and lens.
Life is hard. It is a lot harder if you are stupid.

Good call on the laser optics, I've seen more than a few 4000's with this issue. And almost always if you glance around you will spot a can on "dust off" or similar, Of course no customer will admit to using it in the printer but ya I'm sure they use it for the stapler.
