Just installed a new 5035 with fax option. when i print a config page all the fax info is present, setting up the fax was no problem, but there is no fax 'button' on the ops panel. This is a new one on me.

    Any ideas out there?

Some of them I think do not have fax function, but only PRINT/COPY/SCAN.

HP has a link that explains fax function:

HP LaserJet M5035/5025 MFP simulations - fax - HP Small and Medium Business

    Hope this helps you.

thanks for that..I've been there and had a look but that's not the problem. when a config page is printed all the fax details are there but the button on the ops panel is not being generated for some reason. A colleague is going back to the customer and he''ll let me know if he finds the answer.

1/ if you dont configure the FAX in the administration menu, the fax icon dont appear

Administration / initial setup / Fax setup / ( location and fax header information )

2/ Fax icon may be disabled in the Embedded web server type IP adress in Internet explorer and look in the setting tab / control panel

    3 / try a NVram init
