| I have seen knock-off cartridges go bad after half their rated life, I have seen good reman'd cartridges (MSE) that have defects shortly after install, I have seen brand new OEM cartridges bad out of the box.
Bottom line, with out another cartridge (or another printer), you will never know if you have a known-good cartridge. I have assumed cartridges good because I didn't have one and all I did was waste time and throw good money away replacing good parts. Keep it simple. Don't forget it could be the Fuser. The fact that it is showing up after a run, sounds like something not cleaning itself. These Fuser do not have cleaning rollers like the same Fuser installed in its original Canon engine printer, so they depend on the Rollers to be coated correctly and correct pressure. Since it is not every time, I would suggest getting a new/different Toner and Fuser. Hell, you will need the replacement Toner Fuser (get the maintenance kit that comes with the Fuser and Transfer Roller so you can rule that out also) at some point anyhow, so it is only an investment not a extra cost. However, swapping other parts could prove to be a waste of time and money. Good luck. Post your results. |
