HP 2550 wont come to ready

I have a customer with above mentioned printer. She says she changed toner and the system wouldnt come to a ready state.

I looked at the machine and all that happens is the L.E.Ds sequence 12 times while machine does a few rotations, doing its checks, then leds go to off.
I am not sure, but I believe the fuser isnt warming up, as it isnt hot to the touch.

I am normally a copier tech, and when a fuser warms up in those, they will burn your hand. I am not sure how hot this fuser should be and at what point. Any help appreciated.

The fusers go to 180 c.
Go here for a description of the light patterns.

If this printer is networked, go to the web interface. From there you can see any current conditions, and view the error log. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Hp 2550 led troubleshooting

I personally hate these machines. Not only do they have idiot LED's without a control panel to read the errors off, but it is a carousel color laserjet. Carousel machines = junk.

I've included LED troubleshooting with this post to help you with that. Does it have a network card installed? If it does, power it down, remove it and power it back up to see if the machine comes to ready. Usually if the fuser is bad, it would cycle all the LED's several times and then all the LED's come on solid. It has like 8 LED's and all of them are used to give you an error sometimes. Check the guide attached to this post ( I don't normally do this but these things are a bear to figure out when there's an error).

Hope this helps you. Please post to let us know what the final solution is.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
