I have a 3600 that is leaving black on the bottom of most pages. I checked the cartridge contacts, also ran disable cartridge mode and switched the black and magenta and all the pages came out with magenta so it is in the black port. I attached some samples, any ideas would be appreciated.
Since the image defect is a negative of the previous ~9" of image, I'm thinking high voltage. Does the transfer belt stay clean?

2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

It could also be a black transfer problem. Cost-wise, I'd start with the transfer belt unit, followed by HVPS. =^..^=

I would check to see if you have a broken cartridge lock for the cartridge. If the cartridge is not locked in place, it won't make good connection to the contacts. That may or may not be your problem, but since it is a weakness of the machine I'd look there first.
