    LJC-2605. Too much Magenta.

    Hi fellows,

A customer has this LJC-2605 and he tried a generic magenta cartridge (trying to save some money) with bad results. The others cartridges are OEM.

He decided it was no good and bought and installed a brand new HP M-Crtdg.

However, now he gets the right half of the page all covered with magenta toner. The left side looks clean.

I cleaned and inspected the printer but could not find anything wrong with it. The first page looks pretty bad, but by the third or fourth page it has cleaned up good enough to be usable. It seems to be kind of erratic, and it happens only with the magenta. Black pages look good.

    What could be happening here?

was the problem occurring when you had the 3rd party cartridge installed?
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
