    H/P M3027 MFP nosie in fuser area

    It sounds like a dry gear...I changed fuser sleeve and some gears but no difference..I ran it witout the toner cart in and still noisy. During power up the fuser turns at a low speed then goes to a higher speed at which time the exit roller assembly turns..this is the noisy time, then the fuser speed drops down and the exit assembly doesnt turn at this point and no noise is observed. So could it be the right side plate assembly and if it is how long to change this piece remembering its a mfp

    It's a common problem on that series of machines. TSA World sells a kit that includes all the fuser drive gears and bushings that you need to solve this problem. It usually presents right after you change out the fuser, but not always.

    I looked at the kit you mentioned in one of your earlier posts, it just doesnt seem to be in that area...the two smaller gears Ive changed and I greased the rest and the noise didnt even change a hair...this also inc. changing the f/f hmmmmmmmm...I dont know...maybe...but I looked at the side plate which has the upper gears ...but that looks like it could be a bit to change

    All I can say is, it works.

    Check the green bushings on the pressure roller. On the drive end they will be cut through the bushing and rubbing on the frame. Also the gears will have significant wear, not just on the gear teeth, but on the gear bore also. Grease won't solve this problem. =^..^=

    Well its less work and cheaper so I'll get the kit next week and see what goes and let you know...I'm off to Port Huron this weekend to see how you USA guys are...I live near Sarnia about 30 min from the bridge to PH..and its a nice change..

    We had a lot of rain ...made for damp service calls...but what a hot summer and it was pretty dry we needed it for sure...Ive been thru Lapeer a few times but its been a while...family seems to want to point the Neon towards Disney...well they are locking uphere, its 5, so till next week! Out!

    So I got the kit that blackcat4866 mentioned....and it worked!!!! The bushing at the drive gear end was worn right thru and the shaft was touching the fuser frame ...super help from the bc4866....thanks
