Hp Laserjet 4345 mfp makes loud banging or knocking noise.

Has anyone experienced a loud banging or knocking noise while printing? Prints come out fine, the sound remains no matter what tray I print from. No error codes.
I tried swapping a toner cartridge and removed the rear panel checked those gears and even turn the motors by hand. I don't have much experience with this unit can someone help? Thanks in advance.

it's a noise coming from a 2x2x2 box, track it down.

Lift motor/tray issue if it is coming from that area.
Scanner bed assembly if it's coming from the top

The printer is basically a 4250 with a scanner on top.

I ran the different components in the diagnostic menu and the sound starts when I run the main motor or feed clutch. I was thinking it was a tray lift motor issue too, but its constantly making the noise from start of the print to the end. Have you experienced this before?

Pull the fuser. Look for worn bushings or drive gears.

I still think it's the lift motor or the tray, but I've been wrong before.

I agreed with mo0651. Eventually you'll get jamming on the bed area. It's called the swing plate. Effectively it's the fuser coupler gears that wear down to nothing. I've got one machine in need of it now, and it looks as though it's going to be really unpleasant to change. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
