    HP9000 30 min warm up

    Hello,
I don't normally work on HP's, but you know how it goes, when its slow, the boss will take a service call on any printer/copier.

The customer says when the machine is coming out of energy saver mode, and warming up, it takes around 30 min for the machine to print.

Im thinking fuser, hard drive, or low voltage power supply board. Any ideas?

    Thanks

I've seen a lot of people on other website that are saying the low voltage supply board is what fixes the long warm up time. Does anybody know if there is a way to check the board before replacement?

before you change the board, make sure you are not connecting via a surge protector and that you have good line voltage from the outlet. These machines are power sensitive.

Remove the hard drive and power it on. If it is quick to warm up then the hard drive is your problem. If machine has a Jetdirect (network) card installed, remove it too.
