    CLJ 3500 paper size question

This may be a stupid question, but... If tray 2 is set for any size paper and any type paper, it should work when it's calling for plain letter, right?? tray is set for any size/any type, but when I try to print a config page, it's asking for plain letter in manual feed. If you set it to plain letter size, it works fine. What am I missing? Thanks.... Jeff M.

IMHO "any type" should work fine. I find myself setting media type to specific media types to limit or direct to a specific tray, rather than the "any type" approach. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Problem solved, thanks to Desert Tech. In config menu, manual tray was set to "ON". Shut it off and it works fine. Seems if it's on, it will try to pull from MP tray on any unspecified paper jobs. Usually I set the trays to specific sizes, but for some unknown reason, customer's IT people want it set to any size. Thanks blackcat for your response. Regards... Jeff M.
