This could be a Formatter Board problem.
Have you got access to another 4345 in working order that you can swap formatter boards with?
An easy way to test if it's a formatter board or not is to remove it and boot the printer. These diagnostic methods are spelled out in the service manuals. You should read them sometime. Lots of valuable information in them.
ditto manuals4you. Without the formatter the display won't come up, but you should be able to print an engine test to test functionality of the printer. If it works, more than likely it is a bad formatter. Are you seeing the heartbeat LED's on the formatter?
