    HP4350 Creasing

    Hi Guys

I have a HP LJ4350 creasing the pages. It does this from all trays. I must add that it only does this when feeding used paper. The machine currently has 128K on it. My customer has been feeding the pre-printed paper through the machine from the day they got it and its been working fine till recently. I've had a look at the paper, visibly i cant see any defects like curling or anything that would cause this problem. We've replaced the fuser unit but it still does the same. when printing duplex it works fine. Can any one offer some insight into this

    Thanks

What happens when you use new paper?

As you probably know, it's humidity that is paper's enemy. I don't think you can tell how much humidity is in a piece of paper by just looking at it. Somebody please correct me, if you can. This is the worst time of the year for paper issues. The air conditioning is off, the heat isn't on yet, and all the windows are propped open.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Try performing a half page test to see where and when it is occurring. That can help you isolate the cause.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

I had a 4350 that was intermittantly creasing prints and it was the registration assembly.
