I usually get 1/2 of the life from the rebuild fuser
If you only are getting half the life out of them why even do it?
I refurbish HP printers and resell, I would love to do all OEM but the cost makes it not very profitable.
I cant stand the aftermarket feed rollers though,I throw them out.
I have been selling HP 4250N's like hotcakes
Refurbished fusers can be good and last almost as long or they can fail after a short period of time. The real important thing is what type of sleeves are used and do they replace the heat elements.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
Many of the HP Parts & Fuser rebuilders offer Fuser Units with either OEM sleeves-F/R's or aftermarket sleeves-F/R's installed in them.
They also offer Maint Kits with OEM or aftermarket Feed Rollers included in the kits. Of course at 2 different prices.
We use the ones with OEM parts in them & they do seem to perform closer to the OEM specs.
