First of all, this is a M5035, I assume. If so, you need to tell us, is it happening only when copying or when printing too? Is it uniformly light or gradually lighter from one side or faded in bands across the page? What have you already tried?

The following can cause light print:
    • Faulty print cartridge or empty cartridge
    • Printer set to Economode
    • Bad paper
    • Toner density issue
    • Defective transfer roller or not seated properly
    • Dirty contacts on both the HVPS and cartridge.
    • Laser scanner is dirty or shutter not opening properly
    • Defective HVPS
Copying is light from ADF (usually lighter on one side than another):
    • Lamp inverter issue
    • Scanner optic issue
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

I usually find that the user has been messing with the default darkness setting.
The darkness adjustment goes from Zero to 8. Most people think that the higher the number the darker the print, it's actually the other way around with Zero being the darkest setting.
This has solved the problem pretty much every time
