Designjet 5500, prints black rectangles on prints.

The customer had originally said the printer was giving issues such as not printing some jobs, or stopping before completing the job. I had them upgrade the firmware and drivers. Now they say that it will print black rectangles of different sizes in different locations on some jobs. Any ideas?

    Something like this?:

I haven't updated that thread, but the final outcome was that somebody with a local driver had selected "vector" printing. Honestly I didn't know it was there until it was pointed out. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Kind of the same principle. Mine are perfect rectangles in different sizes and different places. I think i will ask them to hookup a different laptop. I have not seen it happen printing, but my gut says it is not in the plotter itself.
