Event code 30.01.41 on the LJ M4555

This has been kicking me in the sitting muscles for a while recently, just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions.
On a lighter note, there is a pretty good chance this is at least partially my fault. I replaced the scanner control board before I found out the read motor in the document feeder was acting badly in component test mode. So I guess it is at least kind of likely that the bad motor did in the new board.

    Update:
The manual helped quite a bit (the CPD is the culprit, and it is part of the formatter), but after two formatters it is time to try something different. I'll see if a line voltage monitor will provide some clues.
As many times as I tell others to check the voltage coming from the wall outlet, it would be ironic if that is the problem here.

OK, the machine has been working long enough, here's what currently looks to be the cure for this error code:
First, do a partial clear to temporarily get rid of the error code. Then run the scanner tests to see if there is a bad motor in the scanner. In my case, it was the "read" motor in the doc feeder and it was very easy to hear once I thought of testing it. Replace any malfunctioning motors you find, then the formatter. Might want to have the scanner control board handy too, but it is probably not necessary.
Hope that can help someone avoid the stupid crap I went through for this.

Thanks for sharing your trials Iowatech. It's sure to help someone here. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
